AI, media and transmedia analysis
Mapping how attention, fandom and content ecosystems are changing across platforms, creators and franchise models.
I spend a slightly unreasonable amount of time figuring out why companies work, why startups die, and why I apparently thought building a website was a good use of my time.
Somehow this works. Also, i still don't know why CSS is a thing.
I'm Ayush.
I'm 17, currently surviving high school, and spend a slightly concerning amount of my free time researching companies, startups, markets, AI, media, sports, gaming and whatever else manages to hijack my attention that week.
I'm not a programmer. I'm not going to pretend I am.
I just really like figuring shit out.
So I research things. I talk to founders. I break startup ideas. I write. I build things with AI. And occasionally I convince myself that starting another project is somehow a productive decision.
here's the stuff i've actually done.
I started a research publication because apparently reading about businesses wasn't enough. I needed to write about them too.
I cover AI, media, sports, gaming, entertainment, creators, IP and transmedia. Basically: if there's an interesting business hiding underneath something people think is 'just entertainment', I'm probably looking at it.
YES, I ACTUALLY WRITE THIS STUFF.Helped 7+ founders with pitch strategy and investor research.
Reviewed 10+ decks.
Worked with Impactful Pitch and Scorpian Cap on select deals.
Also discovered that founders will spend three hours arguing about their TAM slide and approximately twelve seconds thinking about their actual story.
Yes. Fifteen-plus.
Not because I'm incredibly good at failure. Because I like figuring out whether an idea deserves to exist before spending six months building it.
Research. Market validation. Expert conversations. Then either: BUILD IT or KILL IT. Honestly, killing the bad ones is half the fun.
Mapping how attention, fandom and content ecosystems are changing across platforms, creators and franchise models.
Testing early-stage opportunities by digging into market structure, product need, and whether the wedge is real.
Helping founders sharpen what they’re selling, who it is for, and why the opportunity matters.
Looking across sectors to find where demand is emerging and where companies still have room to build something real.
no seriously. i'm non-technical. the website you're currently looking at was built by me using AI, stubbornness, Google, and an unhealthy willingness to keep debugging something at 2am.
so if the CSS breaks, no it didn't.
I got tired of keeping all the random business thoughts in my head. So I made a Substack. Now they're someone else's problem too.
ASB9 Insights is an independent research publication exploring AI, media, sports, gaming, entertainment, creators, IP and transmedia.
still investigating.
please define it.
this one got me writing an entire research piece.
genuinely asking.
working on it.
the answer probably involves a bad spreadsheet.
Got an interesting company? Building something weird? Want to argue about a business model? Have a startup idea that probably shouldn't exist? Cool.
